Placing Your First Order
Placing an order at Lockhouse.com is
easy. There's no need to create an account
first. You will have done that once you've
placed your first order online. Lockhouse.com is
an internet only distributor. In order to
offer you the best possible prices and speedy service, we only
accept online orders. (We will not
accept orders by phone, fax or e-mail. All
orders must be placed online.)
Know What You Are Ordering
Internet shopping is
largely based on comparative shopping for an item you have seen
elsewhere. When possible, it is advantageous to view the product
in person before ordering or to order a sample piece to view
before placing a large order. If you are unsure of what you are
ordering, particularly in respect to the finish, call us toll
free at 877-660-5625 to discuss your order and avoid any
unnecessary return fees or shipping charges.
Finding
Items
First you will need to browse or
search for the items you would like to order.
There are two ways to browse for products, click
on "Go Shopping" in the green navigation bar at
the top of every page and browse the Shopping
Aisles or select product categories or brands in
the yellow navigation menu on the left of
main pages. "Search Our Site" search boxes
are located on nearly every page of our
store.
Adding
Items to Your Shopping Cart
If you want to order an item,
enter your desired quantity in the Qty box and click
the "Add to Cart" button below the item you want
to order. If you get the following message:
"There are no items in your shopping cart",
it is likely you added a zero (0) Qty to your
shopping cart. Go back to the product page and
change the Qty from zero to a positive number
and click "Add to Cart" button again.
The first time you add a product
to your shopping cart you will be required to
enter your Shipping zip code so the shopping cart can
calculate available shipping options to your
area.
Proceed
to Checkout
Take a moment to review all of the
items you've placed in your Shopping Cart. If
you decide that you don't want to purchase a
particular item right away, click the "Delete"
button to the right of the item an the item will
be removed from your Shopping Cart. To change
quantity of an item, change the quantity in the
QTY box and click on the "Update" button to the
right of the item. When you're ready to place an
order for everything in the "Shopping Cart",
click the "Send Secure Order" button at the bottom of
your shopping cart page. You will be directed to
the next step of completing your order.
Signing
In
If you
are a new customer, click the "Click here
to register" button. Enter the required information
and after reviewing for accuracy click on the
"Save" button. This information will be retained
so that when you log in for future orders, you
will not need to re-enter it each time. Also,
you will be able to log in to see the status of
your order(s) and track shipments. Please note
that we will NEVER NEVER NEVER share
your information
with any other companies, organizations, or
individuals.

Enter a
Shipping Address
If you
are shipping to your billing address, check the
"Shipping Info Same as Billing" box.
If order
is to ship to a different address complete the
required shipping information.
Payment
Information
Select Credit
Card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American
Express). Enter your Credit Card Number, Credit
Card Expiration Date, Name as Appears on
Credit Card and Contractor Code if applicable.
Using dropdown
menu, Select Key Instructions. Enter any applicable
comments you may have in the Comments box.
Review all your information for accuracy and
click on the "Select Shipping Method" button
located at the bottom of the page. See Payment
Information sample below:
Finalize Your Order
This is
the last chance you get to review your Billing
Information, Shipping Information, and Payment
Information for accuracy. If you see any
discrepancies in your information that needs to
be corrected use the "Back" button in you
browser to back up to previous page and make
corrections. (if you are using Microsoft
Internet Explorer v6.x you may get the following
message:
Warning: Page has Expired.
Simply refresh the page in your browser.) After
any corrections click on the
"Select Shipping Method" button again and you
will see your corrected information.
Using the "Key Instructions" dropdown menu,
select the appropriate keying instructions for
your order and enter any applicable comments you
may have in the Comments box. Review all your
information for accuracy and click on the
"Select Shipping Method" button located at the
bottom of the page.
Consider how quickly you would like
to receive your order, and select desired
shipping method
using radio buttons (see example below).
To send your
order click on the "Confirm Order" button at the
bottom of the page. It is important that you write down your order
number displayed on the next page.
(Warning: If you think your order didn't go through, DO NOT use your browser
"Back" button to back up to previous page to
click on the "Confirm Order" button a second
time. This will submit and charge your order twice.
We try to catch and cancel
any subsequent duplicate orders, however this is not always the case.
If you provided us a
correct e-mail address, Shortly after confirming
your order you will receive a Order
Confirmation by e-mail. In most cases if you
don't receive it within an hour, you may have
made an error in entering your e-mail address and you
will not receive one. If after an hours time you
don't receive it,

website.
